Thanks to anyone / everyone who followed my progress last week at the Bassmaster Northern Open on Lake St. Clair. I had a few stellar days, and led the event going into the finals.
As many of you know, I had a mechanical breakdown occur that final morning.
Within minutes, Bill Rose Jr of Rose Marine was at the launch, and did everything he could to get me running. Unfortunately, the problem was more than a quick repair could fix.
Mark Modrak came to the rescue by loaning me his Ranger Z521. His wife, Jan, was there behind the scenes, hooking the boat up and towing it from China Twp down to Metro. I can't thank them both enough. Truly great people, and friends.
Thanks, also, to my good friends, all of which offered their boats, their help, or just their support. Dobson, Trombly, my good buddies Erik and Kris - I can't say how much it meant to me.
In the end, I got a few hours to fish and finished seventh. But I can't help but wonder what might have been. Oh well, that's tournament fishing. Thanks, again, to all of your support.
