Coolest thing today. I was driving east on 179 going towards Hastings and saw a bear with 2 cubs. They were about 1/2 mile east of the Shell station where the road is curvy. I have never before seen a bear in the wild, and I saw them there of all places. This is especially cool as all other bear sightings in Southern, MI that I have heard about have been lone bears ( presumably boars ? ). But with a sow, it looks like a breeding population.
