Solo trip this morning. A bit choppy but managed my limit by 6:45am. Started fishing around 5:30 this morning, checked radar shortly before 7am and a yellow and orange cell was headed right for Grand Haven so I decided to pull lines and quit for the day, about 5 Charter boats went in about the same time I did. As luck would have it the storm split and went into Muskegon and down to Holland and mostly missed Grand Haven!! Those who stayed out probably had a great day.
I fished 50'-60' of water, 35'-42' down at the rigger. I only fished 2 lines this morning but I guess that was enough. I kept 3 fish, throwing back 2 smaller ones thinking that I would replace them with bigger fish...oh well.
UV Flounder Pounder took 3 hits @ 35' down
Electric Kool Aid took the other 2 @ 42' down
Fish were biting as soon as the lures hit the water and not a single boat fished as shallow as I did.
Thank you, Nate for helping me get out of the slip this morning!
