Despite my better judgment, going to relay that yesterday I heard rumors of a large cat being killed in the UP. Yep, another cougar sighting.
My wife works for one of our large newspapers and they received a call from a downstate taxidermist who claims to have seen the dead cat and can verify it was taken/found?? in the western UP.
Knowing that the DNR has the cougar listed as endangered, I'm baffled as to why anyone would not follow 3s, or just use a camera.
Just wondered if anyone else heard anything. I've yet to see anything on the news.
