So my daughter is 12 and graduated 6th grade today. They had a nice ceremony for the kids this afternoon. My wife had to be at a cheerleader board meeting so celebration night was on me. I ask Emma what she wanted to do and she said she really didn't care. I kinda jokingly asked "wanna go fishing?" She says "can we go get some bluegills?" I couldn't get the words out of my mouth fast enough! "Yes, honey, yes we can"
We didn't get on the water until about 6:30. Her first fish.......a fat 11 incher!! Fished until 9ish and when I had everything packed up and had to tell her "okay, last cast" because she wouldn't stop.
Love that kid.......she can go from a ceremony in a dress to fishing with Dad and look good doing it all.
