Sharks in Lake Michigan?

Monday evening I was fishing out of Frankfort, MI in about 350 feet of water, 45 feet down, and it started to rain and a front was moving fairly fast from the west. I decided to pull lines and head in about 7PM. Just about 400 yards from the harbor entrance my engine just quit dead, no sputter, just stopped. I called for a tow and it was going to be an hour or so before he showed up. I started drifting north of the pier head slowly. I spun my captain's chair around and was watching out the back, just peacefully watching the water waiting for my tow.

All of a sudden my eye caught something moving through the water perhaps 50 yards away. It looked like the dorsal fin of a shark. I thought 'what the hell'? I continued to watch and it disappeared in the distance heading parallel to the shoreline in about 50 feet of water. Was not drifting with the current or wind. Definitely was moving on its own.

I hesitated to tell anyone as I didn't want to be labeled a nut. But I Googled 'Sharks in the Great Lakes' today and I came up with this:

Are there bull sharks in the Great Lakes? I know in Central America there is a lake with bull sharks in it.

Thoughts?
