Whitmore Lake

HI everyone....I am going to be visiting family in Pickney next week and I'm looking to take my nephew out fishing for a day. We have access to a boat and one of the lakes I was looking at taking him to was Whitmore. Any suggestions for fishing bass or pike....areas of the lake? It looks like a decent size lake from what I can tell from the DNR website. Any particular baits?
