Alaska Spring Bear

Just found out yesterday my dad and I drew a spring bear tag in Alaska - DL030 for Kupreanof Island. Has anyone spent any time on this island?

Tentative plan is to fly to Petersburg and rent a skiff and hunt the beaches. I know there are 20-30 US Forest Service Cabins on the island. Need to do some research on those. Looks like Petersburg and Kake are the only two places with any amount of people so it should be pretty easy to get somewhat remote. Can't wait to start the research !...
