Archery Elk diy advice

Hey guys,

My brother and I did and elk hunt in 2015. DIY backpack hunt in gmu 70 in Colorado. We are talking about going again in 2018. We did see a few elk, but never really got into them. Just looking for any advice on how to find elk. I've read everything I can find online for a few years now. I'm on rokslide and other forums reading all the time. Are there any books to look for that have good info on early season elk habitat or things to look for when scouting on Google earth?...
