Best state for hunting and fishing for a retiree without alot of snow

I recently retired. I am looking at Kentucky to relocate too. They don't tax pensions and offer some great hunting opportunities. Low cost of living. Looking around Paducah Land of Lakes area. Any other states areas folks can suggest. Thx. After dealing with 200 inches plus of snow for a very very long time I want to avoid areas that experience heavy snow.
