Goose hunting saginaw bay

I would like to try some goose hunting off my boat over open water on the saginaw bay. Its a 22 ft fourwinns. just wondering what u guys think? I have never goose hunted before, and was wondering if i will be able to get them close enough to shoot out in open water. Any imput would be greatly appreciated.
