Lake Mitchell Report

Nice haul, I'd take that any day on the ice. You were on the minority side who actually had some success from what I was hearing from the DNR and everyone around us Saturday. Send me a PM if you are willing to share a little more detail, not your spot, more interested on lure choice, bait, size, color, jigging action, bottom content, water depth, etc. I know it sounds like a lot or you may feel as though I need you to teach me how to fish but I haven't struggled like I have this year and just wondering if I'm going at it all wrong when bites are tough.

I have no idea if it was pressure, temp, the wind, moon phase, or whatever. I tried every lure I have and I have a lot of them, lol. I tried aggressively jigging, barely twitching it, pounding bottom, etc. I had no trouble getting them to raise up most times I marked them but not a single take. Every mark we got was in the middle of the water column too which usually indicates to me a little bit of activity where usually when they are tight to bottom they seem more sluggish. Just so many lines in the water for my group and several moves and only got 1/2 dozen bites all day leaves me a little sour, lol.

Let's block ads! (Why?)
