Livewell help...overflow doesn't drain...

I've run into LOTS and LOTS of great advice on this forum...so thanks.
And...here is another question.
My livewell overflow will not drain water. I discovered this yesterday on the sag river. I was fortunate to get a nicer fish in the tank and started the livewell pump. Forgot about the pump (which I do a lot) and kept fishing. In the past, the overflow just emptied the water...no issues. This time, it filled right to the top and spilled over into the bilge area.
