Minn-Kota upgrade?

I have a Minnkota powerdrive V2 55 pound thrust 12v I would like to upgrade but don't really have the money right now, so I was thinking if I add a second battery and wire it in series and essentially make it a 24 V how much more time would I get on average running the trolling motor on that 24 V instead of 12

What it be exactly double or no
