New to Michigan

Hello All,
Just found out we are moving to Traverse City this Summer. I live in Maryland right now and have a lot of duck and goose decoys; mostly floaters.. it's a haul to bring them all up there, so, is it worth it?
How is the duck and goose hunting around Traverse City and in Northern Michigan? I'd bring them all if I can get some use out of them but, I'm in a great area to sell them here. I'm really pumped about moving up there. Thanks for the help!
