I had an episode of North Woods Law running while I was doing something else and the warden was helping a guy with a wounded deer shot with a bow. The warden found out that the shot was only ten yards and then he got concerned. He said you need to let the arrow get out there 15, 20 or 30 yards to build up speed. The arrow has little kinetic energy at 10 yards. I had to replay it twice because I couldn't believe what I was hearing.
