I was recently contacted by a Land Services company wanting me to enter into an oil and gas lease on my property. It appears they will pay me a fixed sum for each acre and then a percentage of the proceeds if they actually find something. Have any of you done this? I don't really know where to go to determine if they are in the ballpark on the rates and this is my hunting property! How disruptive will this be for my deer and/or habitat projects? Just looking for some feedback to gather...Oil and Gas lease?
