Public Land Coyote Hunting

Depends on setups and cover type, but I use a shotgun 90% of the time. We are often in or near cover where once sighted, a coyote will be within shotgun range, inside 50 yards or so.

Yes, there are exceptions, and there will be, no matter what you use. If in the open or on frozen water I may take the 243.
