I have been gone for awhile but would stop by every now and then and look. The new software has good and bad points. The major bad point is that it is generally slower to load. Lately I have been logging in (which leads to another major problem/bug with the software) and noticed lower numbers of others logged in and very slow speeds.
If I was still on dial-up I would not be able to visit the group and anyone who is on a limited high speed access, especially one that gets throttled down, would find the site close to impossible to use.
Plus side is that msgs are not marked as read until I read them or tell the program to mark them read.
Back to you comment. I had firefox crash and after the recovery the site sped up. Maybe try rebooting the computer. But, if you are using a smart phone you are on your own.
