OMG....Jack Stanger is the man....That's all I fish with still (no offense Harry, your my favorite #2 go to). I have 2 poles and a tackle box full of lures that the paint is starting to peel because of age. I would really consider quitting ice fishing if this stuff ever got separated from me. Both my dad and brother have rods and tackle from him. We came up with a lure named "old faithful". I cant disclose to much details but I can say its XXXX on one side and YYYY on the other. 
Seemed like anytime it was a slow day we would throw that lure down and sure enough out fish the guy next to us. Back in the day when there were no portable shanty's, then all of a sudden I would have 20 best friends sitting next to me, still catching nothing. 
If they only new. Gonewest, you have explained the basement perfectly
. I too wish I would have bought more poles from him. These were awesome. "custom made for NAME by Jack Stanger". Sign on the base of each pole. If you guys find one, pick it up. Ill put it up against any store bough pole to this day.
