Rem oil or Tenpoint rail lube, less is more. It's a 40 yard hunting tool but have fun shooting to whatever distance you want. Wax the strings and cable like you would a vertical bow, keep the wax off the rail. Replace strings and cables every two to three seasons regardless of usage. Smile often. Read the manual, join the TP forum and if you have any doubts ask questions before you act. One major point is when you load the string you do so with the safety in the fire position, try it the other way and you will not be able to discharge the tool. Never, for any reason put any body part you value in the path of the string either shooting or just setting up the shoot
