Winter Springtime Prep

Organize my various tackle boxes. Go through my fly boxes and pull out stuff that doesn't get used. Of those, figure out which ones to hold onto, either for donation or later use, and which ones get stripped to recycle the hooks. Move the new patterns I've been tying and storing into my fly boxes. Pull all the flies off the fly patch on my vest, steam them and return them to my fly boxes. I actually washed my fly vest a couple days ago.

Switch into Production Mode for fly tying and jig painting/tying. That is kind of at a standstill right now, as most of the patterns I want to tie require materials I don't have, and I don't have the funding right now to go get them. Waiting on my tax refund....

It doesn't help that I'm not working this month. The country club I work at shuts down for heavy deep-cleaning for the whole month. Last year, I would have been fishing practically every day, except I didn't have a MI fishing license. This year, I have the license, but no vehicle, and SWMBO does NOT like fishing gear, especially ice fishing gear, in her vehicle.

Once my refund gets here, game on. Buy a vehicle. Go on a fly-tying-materials shopping spree, or at least two. One spree out-and-about locally picking up materials, the other on the internet.
