9 days ago I got bitten by two ticks I picked up at the shop at 8 Mile and Southfield.
Yesterday I had a slightly a stiff neck. Just figured the arthritis in my spine was moving upwards. Then yesterday night my wife saw the bite under my arm that had disappeared for a while after the bite had a red area the size of a quarter around it.
Dr. confirms it's Lyme disease. Hopefully, and most likely caught early enough, I started weeks of antibiotics today.
I am simply telling you this as a reminder that it can happen anywhere. Take all due precautions before it happens to you where and when you least expect it.
