We all decry domestic violence...in all forms. This legislation, signed into law by President Putin, will make it more difficult for unscrupulous women to take advantage of the men in their lives with false and frivolous accusations. It helps to keep the long arm of the state OUT of the households of private citizens.

The legislation, designed to strengthen traditional Russian family culture, was supported by the Orthodox Church.
