Pulling harnesses question

I played around with soft plastics and harnesses last year. Specifically larger 4.5 and 5 inch minnows from H2Ohammer. Instead of running them at or near the bottom, I ran them off from Off Shore Tadpoles and put them out with my crank bait spread in the early spring. I ran them in the same water depths as I was running my cranks. Yes, some of them did spiral but, it was similar to a slow death rig. By playing with the front blade size I was able to minimize this.

I caught fish right along with the cranks on multiple attempts with this process. Not saying it outfished anything but, it was another option. I chose the H2Ohammer baits because they are more custom like an actual body bait, DDHJ, or Flicker Minnow. Compare the price of those with a leader, blade, a couple of hooks and some beads and you can make a bunch of rigs for the price of one custom crank. Again, not saying it will outfish them but in my testing, they did catch fish.

I used the "Hammertail" minnow as it is one of the only plastics on the market today that has a built in rattle in the tail section of the bait.
