If you work in HR and you start receiving LEGOs with resumes, blame – or thank – Leah aka Pastlightspeed. The Redditor and aspiring intern wanted to stand out to prospective employers, so she made a LEGO version of herself along with matching packaging and a pamphlet. I guess she’ll be known as LEGO Leah wherever she gets hired.
It’s not in these pictures, but Leah said she also wrote assembly instructions that also highlighted her skills.
Want to outdo Leah? Try submitting a life-sized 3D printed statue of yourself. Or try using a Raspberry Pi to make a gadget that reads your application out loud in seven languages. Or try sending a first-person virtual reality game that simulates your typical day at work. Don’t forget to send an Oculus Rift dev kit as well so your future employer can play the game. Speaking of which, you can also try to get bought by Facebook. That should get people’s attention.

When posting online, how much personal information is too much? A lot of people post statuses, pictures, and videos on social networks like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram that often reveal more than they intend to. For example, someone could simply be posting a selfie shot in their garden, but other people (like would-be stalkers) might be able to identify where they live from that photo alone.
This is the premise that Jack Vale worked with in his social media experiment. Jack began by searching Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter profiles of people within his current location. He noted down personal information that these users have posted and then approached them in real-life. He then proceeded to reveal the personal (and often, private) information that he was able to gather, which lead to more than a few shocked reactions.
While Jack’s video is mildly humorous, it’s worth noting that internet privacy and security isn’t something that should be ignored these days. Many people have already had their identities, bank information, and money stolen through social media scams and phishing emails, so remember to be vigilant so you won’t become a victim.
If you haven’t already, then maybe it’s time to tweak your accounts’ privacy settings before it’s too late.

In October of 2013, a new and free to play game from Crytek hit the PC called Warface. The game was exciting because it was form a top developer. Not too long ago a console version of the game for the Xbox 360 entered closed beta. That meant that only chosen gamers could get in on the free to play action on their console.
Crytek has announced that the game is now in open beta. That means if you wanted to try out Warface for the Xbox 360, but didn’t make the cut for the closed beta you can now get in on the action. The open beta brings the same modes and maps from the closed beta.
Crytek is also promising a constant flow of new content and multiple mission types in co-op mode during the beta. The development team still wants feedback to make the game better before it exits beta.
