What should I do with old Hunting Licenses?

Anyone have any cool ideas on what to do with old hunting licenses? I would like to collect my tags that do not get filled from now on but not sure what to do with them. Any thoughts would be appreciated.:)

Michigan ranks in Top 10 list for deer states...

TOP 10 WORST DEER HUNTING STATES

 -

"Michigan has a long and proud hunting heritage, and it’s placement on this list is sure to earn the ire of many of the state’s 648,000 hunters. In addition to being one of the coldest states, however, Michigan ranks second nationally in the percentage of yearling bucks harvested in 2013 (59% of all bucks harvested).

In fact, only 17% of the bucks harvested in Michigan in 2013 were three and a half years old or older (third lowest nationally). The prospect of enduring adverse conditions and a large amount of competition for a relatively small chance at mature buck earns Michigan a second place ranking."

Opening day success!

Opening day was a bit hectic but it's been my most memorable bow opener to date.

The morning started off with a doe and twins coming in at 20 yards within 30 minutes of getting situated in my climber. As I was texting my uncle to tell him I saw three already he texted me saying buck down already. He shot a 5 point that should have been a 7 but was missing brow tines, a common trait for bucks around our spot. He ended up seeing another similar size buck and 8 does.

During the evening hunt while I was trying to post an update in the LFTS

thread around 5:15, I look up and see a small 8 point heading right towards me. Get the bow and wait forever to get a clear shot at 22 yards. I was a little worried about the shot because it looked high and I could see the fetching sticking out of him, but was pretty sure I heard him crash not far off. I waited over a hour and followed a great blood trail less than 40 yards to claim my first buck with a bow! He managed to fall in some of the thickest brush you can find in the state so I tagged him and dragged him by my tree. 30 minutes after climbing back into the stand I spot another back coming right at me, I thought this one was a real nice buck but as I got a good view it turned out he was just a massive 4 point, really tall and wide. That one got a pass for now.

So a great opener for us, 4 bucks spotted, 2 shot, 11 other deer sightings. This is private land in Livingston county.

Thanks for reading and happy hunting!

Which scale

Getting ready to hit the range soon. Never used loose powder before and using the girl friends little scale to see if it was even possible to constantly fill grains by volume consitantly and checking on the scale. Well long story story I can't. And her scale doesn't do grains just grans ( only in whole Numbers) some I'm converting it. What scale do you guys use?

Going to North Central ND for Whitetail Hunt

Heading a little north of Minot, ND for a whitetail bow hunt the 1st week of November. Anyone else gone to ND for a hunt? Just curious to hear any feedback about your experience there. Trying to be as prepared as possible before making the 19hr trip.
