Another New Hobby?!

I tagged along on a day shoot yesterday with a couple guys I know. They had an extra bow that I was able to shoot with a 808 mag on it. It was a blast out shooting yesterday and I never realized how spooky carp can be. I saw carp up to 20#+ and gar that were well under 30" and up to a 40" that I missed. I can't believe how fun it was to bow fish. Now I am looking at setting up an old bow I have. It is a 45-60# bow. I figured it should work if I let it down to it's minimum weight. Now I need to set it up. Going to look around Bay City today and probably head up to Frank's to see what is available. A buddy of mine just bought a boat that would work great for shooting. Trying to convince him to give it a try now. Let another hobby begin!

Little help

 -

Caught this fish this morn. Not sure what it is. Thought it was a bass when I first saw it cause of the colors, then I saw a mouth full of teeth and it's way too slender for a bass. Just wondering what it is

Antrim chain traverse city

I got some good info from this site last year before our trip to Les Cheneaux, so I thought I might see if anyone has any input for this years trip.

We will be staying on Clam Lake from Sat 6/14 - 6/21. I have searched the forum and read a lot about the lakes in the lower chain. We will be fishing for bass, smallies and some largies, if we find them, and pike. We have a Tracker Pro V 16.

I was wondering how far along the bass spawn is up that way. I figure the shallower lakes like Clam and Skeg will be further along if not done, than Torch or Bellaire. I was thinking things may be a little behind after the long winter.

Last year we stopped for one night on the way to the UP and hit the East Arm of Grand Traverse Bay on the 15th of June. They were just starting to bed up that day. I hope to trailer over to the bay for at least one day next week.

Thanks for any insight you guys can give. We are really looking forward to this trip.
