Best place for kayak angling?

I just purchased a kayak with a goal in mind to fish more than I have been, I've got a lot to learn but I was wondering if you guys could throw some tips my way in regards to best waters for it, things to add to the kayak etc. thanks in advance!

Do they give you all the info on when it was tagged and the size it was?
