Dogtra vs. Garmin remote launching electronics

It seems that most people really like the Dogtra electronics. I've heard some bad things about the Garmin electronics; however, one thing I noticed when comparing the two is the fact that Dogtra is still apparently using Ni-MH rechargeable batteries, which do not appear to be user replaceable, whereas Garmin now uses user replaceable lithium ion batteries.

Ni-MH batteries IMO are pretty obsolete, they have memory, die faster and require charging from time to time otherwise they will get screwed up (it even says this in the Dogtra instruction manual). I find lithium ion batters to be much better.

So, I was just wondering what you all prefer, and whether anybody has any comments on the Garmin electronics that might help me make a choice. I am inclined to go with Garmin for the battery....
