Webers is another I would stay away from.
In town on Main St, there are a few good places, most the strip is owned by same person, however not the cheapest dinner in town.
The Chop House is a great meal but pricey, however if you go on your birthday they pay, or if with someone they just cut bill in half.
But the food and service is top shelf for some fine dining if looking for that.
It may be fancy, but I've walked in many times in shorts/jeans and a t-shirt.
The real seafood company just down street from them is less expensive and very good. They have a steamed pot if you are into seafood that is awesome, waiter will even clean your lobster for you.
Shalimar is on main...it's Indian food and pretty good.
There's an Irish pub next to chop house that is pretty authentic and has good grub and of course cold beers.
Brewery on Washington is decent food, but not a fan of their beers.
There's always a Mongolian bbq on main as well.
The Fleetwood is good, it's downtown on Ashley.
Dominicks and the Gandy Dancer are both a little more upscale but not as pricey as chop house.
Hunter house and of course Blimpy are great choices for a burger.
As far as away from downtown, there are Applebees, tgif and other chains.
You will be able to find any and all sorts of good food though.
I will say as much as the chop house is price wise, I will give my suggestion to a less expensive place and say start at the Real Seafood Co.
Parking downtown is always a pain but if you're hungry...you do what you gotta do.
Be sure to wear your Green and White, I always do!
Good luck and cheers.
