Moon clip carrY

Any number of suppliers make belt carriers for moon clips/speed loaders. I have a few for when I shot IDPA revolver class. They are obtrusive, bulky and would certainly "print." They certainly function well for competition but I can't imagine using one for every day carry.

Like most other things in life and regardless of your choice for a defensive carry gun - revolver/semi-auto - both have their advantages and disadvantages. Without going into a long list or trying to start an argument:

Semi-Autos - high capacity, low profile magazines , ease of carrying extra rounds, fast reload.
Not generally considered to be as "reliable" as revolvers.

Revolvers - Generally considered to be more reliable than semi's, low capacity, more bulky
profile, slow to reload ( even after ejecting the spent cartridges) and awkward to carry extra rounds for.

I have no experience with so-called "speed strips " so can't comment on them. Not sure this helps but good luck with whatever choice you make.
