I am not a fan of long youtube videos. Give me a written article with several photos and I can read it a lot faster. I am pretty sure that I have found the video you saw and it is almost 12 minutes long. Skipped through it and noticed he never gave us a close-up view of the seed in the feeder tubes nor of a bird standing on the perch or any birds for that matter.
Yep, I wonder if the cable tie would hold a sparrow the way he has them mounted. They are mounted flat so it seems that there would be more flex. Why not mount them upright. As in __ versus |. At two inches long I would think that the | position would be better.
