What's your usual scouting and set-up routine?

I fish from a 1-man flipover. And yes, I know that this is supposed to encourage me to move around a lot. But frankly, it's a PITA to pull tipups, get all my gear stowed, pull the flip up onto my Smitty sled and reset camp 100 yards away. I figure that each move probably costs me about 30 minutes of jigging time from the moment I make the call until I am setup in the new spot with holes drilled, 2 tipups set, electronics down and dialed in and jigging again on the 3rd line. So consequently, I waste a lot of time waiting for the fish to come to me. Or waiting for the sundown bite. Or waiting until the time I promised I would leave if things didn't pick up.

So what's your setup routine? Do you drill all your holes, put down tipups, put down electronics, then setup your shelter and start jigging? Or do you drill one hole, fish it on a bucket for 5-10 min and move on if nothing is happening? Do you wait until a spot looks promising before deploying tipups? (I usually put those out first, reasoning that at least they are "fishing" while I am drilling and setting up electronics and jigging spot). I have a Marcum Recon 5 camera but find that the screen is too reflective to be of much use outside the shanty, except on the most overcast days. So for me, scouting is pretty dependent on drilling at least 4 holes, and by then I have invested time in that bit of real estate. I am just frustrated by too many skunk days lately, wishing I would have moved within 10 minutes of arriving instead of waiting for things to turn on.
