All of those are great options but, for 72 bucks a year, it sure is nice knowing that I am covered no matter what! One tow (in the event you do ever need it) is in the thousands of dollars!!
We all pay a ton more for cranks, fishing line, fuel... Really great value for the money spent along with piece of mind. Coverge is for any boat you own, operate, or are on board during the mechanical issue.
I'll come to the aid of anyone in need and "hope" others do the same. But, I still carry the insurance. I have a similar thread started on the Saginaw Forum. Hopefully Ralph Smith chimes in on the issue he had a few years ago where there was NOT anyone on the water to help him and he made the call. Fortunately, he had the insurance!
