A new rub this late?

I walked out in my yard this last week to find this about 50 feet from my house... I didn't think that the bucks would still have antlers and if they did why they would still be rubbing but I am 100% convinced that this is a rub. There are deer tracks leading right up to the tree and then going out into the field. Why would they still be rubbing?
