I walked along the Riverwalk for a bit today. The water was mostly clean, but there were some pretty dangerous looking ice sheets here, and there. Some were lumpy, and easy to spot; while others were flat, and would be really tough to see ahead of time at 15 or 20 mph. The water was clear enough of ice that you could easily jig out there. And you could easily pilot a boat around at slower speeds, and avoid slamming into ice. But I wouldn't run fast right now.

Founded in 1999, Michigan-Sportsman.com started as a collection of links to Michigan related sites, and a series of manually edited blogs. It was a marriage of my passions for the outdoors and the internet. In late 1999. we started our first message board. It was one of Michigan's first social networks.
