Years ago I worked in Yellowstone. While my sister was visiting, I took her fishing in the circus of the Yellowstone river. She didn't fly fish so I grabbed us a couple of spinning rods. Fish (and fishermen) were everywhere but none were hitting. The few feeding fish I saw were taking huge stoneflies from an earlier hatch. None of the fly fishermen were catching any either though.
