i'm in the same boat. sandy soil trying to build organic matter. planted buckwheat last month. will roll half of it in a about two weeks and plant brassicas. then roll the other half at the end of september and plant rye/clover mix. rinse, lather, repeat for the next few years.

Had Jake out on Monday and have the start of the plan. I can honestly say it was a bit of information overload but man does he know alot. For the most part need to get trees on the ground which I knew but dad has a tough time with that. Jake made it clear that's what was need and I think it finally got thru to the old man. Definitely think Jake is worth the money just from the day alone. Very easy to talk to and understands that everyone has different uses for their property.
