I'm a relative newbie fishing the Detroit River in the spring. This year will be my 4th season. I had never used braided line until I started jigging the river. My question is how many seasons do you more seasoned fisherman go between changing the line? I have not changed it since the first year. Other than some color loss it is not frayed, rotted, and doesn't seem diminished as far as breaking strength. I have new line but am curious as to how often others replace braided line.
