Had some success back bouncing on a Friday, December 19th outing. In the last hour of the trip a rod got slammed. 9'6" ultra light South Bend Trophy Tamer was the victim. The rod was doubled by the time we got a hand on it. The battle ensued for a while with runs under the boat, near the anchor rope, and everywhere just out of reach of the net. We got her up, head shaking like crazy we swore it was a big LRB. Surface broke just out of reach of the net. I thought for sure we would lose our big ol brown at the surface. When we finally got the fish in the net, sure enough it was a semi/-silver, hen king around 13lbs. Beautifully colored with a green hue and mostly silver sides. Most importantly filled with gold treasure. This is my first time battling with a December king. Nice surprise to top off a great day on the river. Just when i needed more eggs.....Attachment 72060Attachment 72061Attachment 72062Attachment 72063Attachment 72064
