Season is over for me

After getting up kinda late Saturday morning I played around on the computer. Got up and headed to the garage to continue with my duck blind project.

I started to notice some tingling in the center of my chest. Shook it off and continued working.

Pain got a little more and stated feeling it in my back. Being a FF / EMT for 17 yrs I knew something was wrong.

I went back into the house and told my girlfriend that I was calling 911 BC I was having chest pains. She hurried out of the shower. Local Twp fire & rescue got there as will as the ALS medic.

I was hooked up to the monitor and I heard the urgency in the medics voice saying we have to go. I though oh boy.

I was loaded up and was heading to Toledo Hospital. Well they didn't make it far down the road.

I coded (arrested) so they diverted to Bixby er in Adrian.

All I remember is talking to the medic which is a friend of mine and then waking up in the ER with all my family and extended fire family around.

The weather was not in the picture for me to be flown to Toledo. I was MICU down here and went straight to the cath lab. I had a 100% blockage in my artery.

I feel so much better and have a new outlook on life.

Time for a major life change.

I am so thankful to be here today.

These last 2 years have been rough. Hopefully them times are past me now.

Remember to hug and tell your family and friends how much you love them. You may not get a second chance.
