Fished Saturday evening in Essexville off Main St. Set-up in 28.5 FOW on 5.5" of ice. Jigging Rapalas (No 5 Fire Tiger Glow and Blue/Chrome) and Do-jigger Blue/Chrome with jaw-jacker.
We caught one after another until dark, all different size under 15", probably 75 fish between the two of us. Friend caught two just under 15" on the jaw-jacker, made for good fun in the shanty. No keepers but great time catching.
Sunday morning we set-up in between the two huge crowds at Indy and steel train bridge to the Southwest, searched for fish from mid river down to 32 FOW 6" of ice. Once we found them it was on fast and furious same baits as before but no time to play with jaw-jacker.
Picked up a few keeps then a big girl followed by a few more keepers. Everything shutdown for us when current picked up at 10am.
Big fished weighed just shy of 6 lbs and 25.5" when we got it home to clean.
