Casting at Night for River Gators

Ok, a few questions for you guys that cast at night on the river for gators. What kind of lures are you using? I have a bunch of SR5 shad raps I use in the tibb, would these work or would I want to go with something a little bigger and that doesn’t dive as deep? Also, what time of night do you normally go? I think this might be a great way for me to get out and fish more since we now have a 9 month old, gotta fish when he lets me…lol. Also, where should I try…Vets, Indy? Is this normally just a spring thing or can it be done all year? Just assuming the fish are around the lights at night getting baitfish and along the bridge pillars Anyways, if anyone would be interested in showing me the ropes sometime I’d love to tag along…I’ll even supply the beer!
