Hillbilly likes to fish up north

I am a newby just checking out the forum as my 2 brothers and my son are planning a trip to northern Mi the second week of June. I live in Louisville, am originally from upper East Tn and we have been crossing the border at the Soo for a number of years and enjoy catching an releasing smallies but keep a few Eyes to eat (13-16 inchers). After watching all the videos on You Tube and reading everything I can find on the internet, I found this forum and decided to join. I hear all about how great Traverse Bay is and have watched some videos but that seems like a HUGE body of water to fish if you aren't familiar with it . I am looking for perhaps a cabin around some of the inland lakes that we could land some Hawg smallies, walleyes and would love to get a good mess of yellow perch fry up! We have a 16'10" deep v Fisher Marine with a 50 Merc with all the electronics so we aren't completely lost on the water.I appreciate the mention of PM's, because I also belon to the East Tennessee fishing forum and there was TMI being put out in cyberspace and now information is hard to come by. I am also try to gain some knowledge of streams in Northern Mi. for smallies and trout. we haven't fished with our fly rods sin the 70"s when we used to go to the Great Smoky Mtns for our trips. We all LOVE smallmouth bass! PB is 22"s from Brashears Creek Close to Taylorsville Ky. Tight lines and thanks for allowing me to join this forum
The Poss.
