In December I took 2 reels in to get a couple minor things fixed...clicker / level wind thingy. 5 months should be plenty of time to right?
I stop in today. She pulled the reels out and they are in a bag all taken apart! She says they cant seem to get parts, "whenever we order Okuma parts it takes them 3 months" I say "well, its been 5 months so....whats your plan?" She says "well I dont know since we cant get parts" I inform her I can get parts in 3 days from Tuna's in Ludington.
She says, "no you cant"
I didnt get pissy, just said I would get the parts and be back so they can finish....Im not happy but what else am I to do with a bag of parts?
I get Tuna's Reel Troubles in Ludington on the phone before Im out of the parking lot. I tell him the story....he is as discussed as I was! We arrange for me to get the parts from him.
I accomplished in 3 minutes what these fools couldn't in 5 months!
5 minutes later, Tuna's calls me back. Says he talked to the other guys in the shop and they want to get me taken care of. He says "go get the bag of parts and reels...send them to us and we will handle it asap for you, we dont want you to have to mess with these people anymore.....just ship them to us and we will handle everything else!"
I went in and got the reels, she had actually reassembled most of it so the picture hear doesn't do justice to what I saw originally. She asked me what I was going to do and I said "send them to a real reel shop"
