We faired well today's. Picked 9 after getting a late start. Actuall hit the water about 8:30 and didn't really get into the fish until noon. In the end, we had a decent cooler full. Only one bigger 24" fish all the rest nice eaters. They all came on fire tiger or brown jigs head with both brown or black ww. All Canadian fish.
We did get stopped by the rcmp and they asked for our licenses and call in number....both no problem. But then they asked if I had a cpl and if I was carrying! They'd also told us there would be an exchange program this summer with the U.S. Coast guard where a rcmp officer would be on a U.S. Coast guard boat and a U.S. Coast guard person on a Canadian rcmp boat. They said this way they can legally chase boats cross boarder. Interesting enough, they did not ask to see our fish nor did they board our boat. They did ask if we had live bait. They were very engaging from a conversational perspective....in a nice way.
