Still working on this one and I`m getting pretty close to nailing it, although I think depending on ones critical ness, maybe it can never really be nailed. I got the mallard roof over the wing this time, the topping splayed out nice, used the blind eye hook, went with a lighter blue in the wing....Came out pretty cool. Threw some of the color on some smaller fishing hooks to try in the river. This pattern caught fish in the old days, maybe they will work on something

Few problems here still.
Honeyuk was quick to point out the throat hackle is too long, I knew that when I tied it in but ran with it anyway
Its still missing one eliment, should have teal married to the barred wood duck shoulders, I just could not get it to marry up
This is the back side cause the frt side got a buckle in the wing and messed up the entire side. So the fix for that (besides more practice) is to mount it so you cant see the other side
