Swim baits

I just ordered some swim baits from Cabelas and was wondering how many of you guys use them? And just for bass or do you catch other species on them? I ordered the ones that have treble hooks and have a segmented type body. I ordered the pumpkin seed color pattern. They look sweet never fished one before of this style.
