Opinions on boat purchase

Got the go ahead from the wife to start looking for a better boat. Looking for something to bowfish and line fish from, but nice enought that she'll go hang out on the deck on nice days w/me. Narrowed it down to a bass tracker 1991 tournament tx17 (side console), or 1998 pro team 18' (dual console). Both have 40hp outboards. Though the pro team is a little more $, I'm leaning towards it because 1) slightly bigger (longer and wider) so that in the future if so desired can gut it and turn it into a full time bow fishing rig, 2) the one I found is original owner, always stored inside, and appears in better shape. I'm aware of the waterlogging possibilties and will check that out when I go to look at both. Anybody input on pro's/con's of either would be appreciated. Also trying to find out 1) if there is a differnce in sidewall height between the two, and 2)what the weight/hp rating is on the pro team, can't seem to find that on the net either. Any and all opinions appreciated and respected :lol:. Anything specific I should look for when I check them out besides the obvious (broken welds, water logging, compression, water pump, etc.)? Planning on going to Delton in the old boat, and checking out Muskegon lake when I get home (maybe in a new boat!). Thanks in advance for your input.
